DTB & EUBG Host Investment Opportunities Networking Event
On Wednesday, 13th May 2026, the Bank proudly hosted the Investment Opportunities Networking Event in partnership with the European Union Business Group (EUBG), bringing together a diverse group of business leaders, investors, institutions and strategic partners for an engaging evening of dialogue and connection.
The event provided a valuable platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas, explore emerging opportunities and build meaningful relationships aimed at fostering sustainable economic growth within Tanzania and beyond. Attendees engaged in insightful discussions that highlighted the importance of collaboration in unlocking new investment potential across key sectors.
The event was officially opened by the bank’s CEO, Mr. Ravneet Chowdhury, who underscored the pivotal role of strong partnerships and innovation in driving economic progress. In his remarks, he highlighted the Bank’s commitment to supporting initiatives that create lasting value, promote inclusive growth and enhance regional development.
Adding further depth to the discussions, the session featured key insights from Mr. Gilead Teri, Director General of the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA). He highlighted Tanzania’s growing attractiveness as an investment destination, noting the country’s strategic position, improving business environment, and expanding opportunities across sectors such as infrastructure, manufacturing and services. He encouraged attendees to capitalize on the favourable investment climate and actively participate in the country’s economic transformation.
The event concluded with a vibrant networking session that allowed participants to strengthen connections, share expertise, and identify potential areas for collaboration. The successful gathering reinforced the Bank’s position as a trusted partner in facilitating business growth, supporting investment conversations, and fostering long-term partnerships within Tanzania’s dynamic economic landscape.
